Cookie policy

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember what you did on your last page — the items in your cart, the language you chose — and they can also be used to measure how the site is used. Some are set by Marocraft, others by our payment providers when you check out.

These keep the shop running: your cart contents, your language and currency, your session, and basic security. They are always active and do not require your consent, because the site cannot work without them. Turning them off in your browser will break checkout.

To know how many people visit the shop, which pages they read, which country and kind of device they use and which site sent them, our own server counts page views without any cookie. Nothing is stored on your device and no identifier is created: each page view only adds one to daily totals (for example "12 visits from Canada on mobile"). Your IP address is used for a moment to find your country and is never stored, and no profile is built. Bots and our own staff are not counted.

Because it uses no cookie and keeps no personal data, this measurement does not need your consent. You can still object to it at any time with the "Audience measurement" switch at the top of this page, and we turn it off automatically when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. Daily totals are kept for about 13 months.

Google Analytics tells us how the site is used, in aggregate, so we can fix and improve it. It runs in Google Consent Mode: until you accept analytics cookies, no Google Analytics cookie is set and no identifier is stored on your device — Google only receives cookieless signals (such as a page view, the time and your approximate region) that it uses to estimate overall traffic. If you accept, Google Analytics may set its cookies (_ga), which identify your browser, not you by name. This opt-in applies in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Québec. Elsewhere, Google Analytics cookies are on by default and you can switch them off at any time on this page; advertising signals stay off everywhere until you accept marketing cookies.

You can reject them, and rejecting them costs you nothing — every feature of the shop stays available. If you withdraw your consent later, we delete the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.

Marketing cookies let advertising platforms measure whether an ad led to a visit or an order, so we do not keep paying for ads that do not work. The Meta Pixel loads only after you accept marketing cookies, and Google’s advertising signals stay switched off without that consent. They are optional in the same way analytics cookies are: reject them and the shop behaves exactly the same. We do not sell your browsing data.

When you pay, our payment providers (PayPal and Amazon Pay for online payments, and Wise for transfers and payment links) may set their own cookies on their hosted payment pages to authenticate the transaction and prevent fraud. Those cookies are governed by the provider’s own policy, not ours. Marocraft never sees or stores your card details.

On your first visit, a banner asks you to accept or reject optional cookies. If you reject, only the strictly necessary cookies are used. Your choice is stored on your device so the banner does not ask again on every page.

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time with the cookie settings at the top of this page, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser — the banner will reappear on your next visit and you can choose again. You can also block or delete cookies directly in your browser settings, for this site or for all sites.

This policy works together with our Privacy Policy (/privacy), which explains what we do with the data itself. For any question, write to contact@marocraft.com or message +212 665 448 540 on WhatsApp, Monday to Saturday, 09:00 to 19:00.
